Children of war need legislative protection
The horrors of war influenced children in Ukraine greatly. 470 children have died and more than 950 have been injured since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, according to official data. But in Ukraine there is no law on the protection of children affected by the war since 2014.
More than 77,000 children have the official status of victims of war. They need housing, affordable medical, psychological, and social support and rehabilitation. The Law on Social Protection of Children Affected by War is supposed to help with this. It is still under consideration in the Ukrainian Parliament. The law will provide children with additional social and medical guarantees which they extremely need.
These children need systematic social, medical and psychological support!
