Children of war need legislative protection
They have their dreams: big, pure, amazing, bright and kind. But the war completely collapced them… 60% of Ukrainian children were forced to leave their homes. More than 2 million of them found refuge in other countries. About 1,000 children were injured and 482 died…
More than 19,000 children were deported from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the Russian Federation. But the problem is that the status of “child affected by the war”, which has already been granted to more than 77 000 of children, does not include any assistance, except for free meals at school…
Children who have been injured, maimed or contused need much more! The draft law 9042-1 is under consideration of the Ukrainian parliament. The law should provid necessary assostance for children – those who have been deported, injured, lost their parents or are internally displaced persons.
These children need systematic social, medical and psychological support!
